PASTEL WOMAN

Not a very creative name. I am trying to take some of the quick figure sketches I've done and create colorful pastels out of them. This was from a 3 minute pose. So I want to see how lighting, form, and if I can capture a mood in 3 minutes or less!. Gives me something to shoot for.

Reflections of a Mother and Daughter

The source for this is from aLiberian Refugee camp in Ghana, image from a friend of mine "Lucy" who volunteered at this camp. hard to say what these to ladies are looking at. Definitely focussed on the same issue the same way. while i have no price on this and do not have the exact information at this point, i promised some proceeds for sales of this work to go back to Lucy for support of these women she worked with.

Marko

This is my grandson Marko James. Cutest little guy! This is pastel on canvas board I painted with acrylic and pumice for texture and background color. Painted late last night. He is so tiny compared to my hands.
